Is paddle board easy to learn?

Part of the appeal of stand up paddling is that it is a relatively easy activity to learn for people of any age or fitness level. In many cases, people having no water skills can learn to paddle in 10-15 minutes as long as get them a nice, big, stable board. If you take some SUP lessons you’ll learn even faster and get comfortable on top of it. Another great thing about learning to paddle boarding is when you fall off, it’s easy to get back on the paddle board. SUP boards don’t fill up with water like a kayak or a canoe, so they won’t capsize.

Is the paddle board heavy?

What should I wear to stand up paddle boarding?

We recommend that you wear swim gear, a t-shirt and shoes that you don't mind getting wet. In addition, a paddle board is considered a water vessel and it is mandatory to wear either a life vest or an inflatable belt pack PFD based on their swimming confidence and comfort with cold water immersion. All participants must wear the provided SUP leash while traveling on the water.

Can I bring my dog on my paddle board?

Yep, absolutely. We have no reason to leave our furry friends at home along. Your dogs’ nails will not pop the PVC and they’ll love you for the adventure! Some paddlers cut a yoga mat to fit there board as an extra layer of protection. Just put the dog on it or sit on it and go. The extra weight should not be a problem.

Will my board be too big for my kids?

Stand up paddling is a safe and highly enjoyable family activity. Larger boards suitable for supporting an adult plus children and pets. We are occasionally asked why we don’t carry child-sized boards, and the answer is very simple. Any board that we carry is expected to last for years. Children simply outgrow the equipment too fast. Also, most often, mom and dad want to be able to get on as well! Besides, we have yet to encounter a kid who hasn’t loved paddleboarding on a full-sized board.
